Tackling racism in the workplace – round table in the European Parliament on 22 March – Anti-Racism and Diversity Intergroup
Tackling racism in the workplace – round table in the European Parliament on 22 March
The European Parliament DG PERS Equality, Inclusion and Diversity Unit hosted an online discussion “Tackling racism in the workplace: combatting the barriers to diversity” to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and following the Bureau’s adoption of the European Parliament ‘Diversity roadmap’ in November. The round table addressed more concrete and workplace-related matters on how to combat the barriers to racial diversity in the EP administration. Parliament Vice-Presidents Dimitrios Papadimoulis and Ewa Kopacz, respectively Chair and Vice-Chair of the High-Level Group on Gender Equality and Diversity, introduced the event. Lennard Louisy gave a keynote speech about unconscious bias. A representative from the People of Colour support group gave their insights into the challenges inside the EP.
MEP Romeo Franz, ARDI co-president, spoke on the subject. You can find his contribution here.
